The weight of gratitude, pressed into silver.

These aren’t just earrings. They’re a quiet declaration: I see what I’ve been given. I honor what remains.

The bellflower—drooping, graceful, steadfast—was the Art Nouveau symbol of unwavering affection. In 1890s Paris, it was given as a token of thanks. Of loyalty that doesn’t need to be flashy.

When you wear these, you’re carrying a piece of that lineage. The die that pressed this flower was cut by hand in Villemin’s Paris workshop in the 1890s, supplying the fine jewelry houses of the era. The artisans who carved it are long gone. But their work endures. And now, it’s paired with your intention and experience today.

What makes these studs different:

Hand-pressed from reclaimed sterling silver using an antique French die from Villemin, Paris (1890s) in my solar-powered studio. Each impression carries the marks of the original carving—the slight irregularities, the depth of detail that only hand-cut steel can achieve.

The patina finish gives them an aged, lived-in quality. They don’t try too hard. They don’t need to.

Technical Details:

  • 3/8" (9.5mm) round focal
  • Reclaimed sterling silver with patina finish
  • Sterling silver posts (8mm)
  • Steel backs included
  • Hand-pressed using antique French die
  • Weight: 0.07 oz per pair

Symbolism:

  • Gratitude. Constancy. Unwavering affection.
  • The bellflower reminds you: steadfast devotion doesn’t need fanfare. It just is.

Care:

Sterling silver naturally oxidizes. The face of the earrings has been processed with a protective coating to preserve the finish. To maintain the protection and the patina, avoid harsh chemicals. To brighten, use a silver polishing cloth. To deepen the patina, wear them often—your skin’s natural oils will enhance the finish.
