Copper and Silver Silk Kite Shield Earrings

The raw silk texture of these kite-shaped copper shields catches light like quiet movement — a soft rhythm recalling both fabric and flame. Inspired by mythology’s sense of cosmic order, the pattern rests within the enduring shape of the shield.

Silver bow wires curve through hand-drilled openings, held in place by silver stoppers forged and finished in the flame, while the wire ran right through the hole in the copper.  Three protective layers preserve the patina and deepen the glow. Strength with softness, order within change, beauty as balance.
